Deep Thinking

Have you ever thought about the fact that you did not exist before
you were conceived and then born into the world and that you have
come into existence from mere nothingness?

Have you ever thought about how the flowers you see in your living
room everyday come out of pitch black, muddy soil with fragrant
smells and are as colorful as they are?

Have you ever thought about how mosquitoes, which irritatingly fly
around you, move their wings so fast that we are unable to see them?

Have you ever thought about how the peels of fruits such as bananas,
watermelons, melons and oranges serve as wrappings of high quality,
and how the fruits are packed in these wrappings so that they
maintain their taste and fragrance?

Have you ever thought about the possibility that while you are
asleep a sudden earthquake could raze your home, your office, and
your city to the ground and that in a few seconds you could lose
everything of the world you possess?

Have you ever thought of how your life passes away very quickly, and
that you will grow old and become weak, and slowly lose your beauty,
health and strength?

Have you ever thought about how one day you will find the angels of
death appointed by God before you and that you will then leave this
world?

Well, have you ever thought about why people are so attached to a
world from which they will soon depart when what they basically need
is to strive for the hereafter?

Man is a being whom God furnishes with the faculty of thought. Yet,
most people do not use this very important faculty as they should.
In fact, some people almost never think.

In truth, each person possesses a capacity for thought of which even
he himself is unaware. Once man begins to use this capacity, facts
he has not been able to realise until that very moment begin to be
uncovered for him. The deeper he goes in reflection, the more his
capacity to think improves, and this is possible for everyone. One
just has to realise that one needs to reflect and then to strive
hard.

Someone who does not think will remain totally distant from truths
and lead his life in self-deception and error. As a result, he will
not grasp the purpose of the creation of the world, and the reason
for his existence on the earth. Yet, God has created everything with
a purpose. This fact is stated in the Qur'an as follows:

We did not create the heavens and the earth and everything between
them as a game. We did not create them except with truth but most of
them do not know it. (Surat ad-Dukhan: 38-39)
Did you suppose that We created you for amusement and that you would
not return to Us? (Surat al-Muminun: 115)

Therefore, each person needs to ponder the purpose of creation,
first as it concerns him himself, and then as it pertains to
everything he sees in the universe and every event he experiences
throughout his life. Someone who does not think, will understand the
facts only after he dies, when he gives account before God, but then
it will be too late. God says in the Qur'an that on the day of
account, everybody will think and see the truth:

That day Hell is produced, that day man will remember; but how will
the remembrance help him? He will say, "Oh! If only I had prepared
in advance for this life of mine!" (Surat al-Fajr: 23-24)

The truth can be told to a person in many different ways; it can be
shown by the use of details, pieces of evidence and by every means.
Yet, if this person does not think over this truth on his own,
sincerely and honestly with the purpose of comprehending the truth,
all these efforts are useless. For this reason, when the messengers
of God communicated the message to their people, they told them the
truth clearly and then summoned them to think.

While God has given us a chance in the life of this world to reflect
and derive conclusions from our reflections, to see the truth will
bring us great gain in our life in the hereafter. For this reason,
God has summoned all people, through His prophets and books, to
reflect on their creation and on the creation of the universe:

Have they not reflected within themselves? God did not create the
heavens and the earth and everything between them except with truth
and for a fixed term. Yet many people reject the meeting with their
Lord. (Surat ar-Rum: 8)

A man who reflects grasps the secrets of God's creation, the truth
of the life of this world, the existence of hell and paradise, and
the inner truth of matters. He gets a deeper understanding of the
importance of being a person with whom God is pleased, and so he
lives religion as is its due, recognizes God's attributes in
everything he sees, and begins to think not according to what the
majority of people demand but as God commands. As a result, he takes
pleasure from beauty much more than others do, and does not suffer
distress from baseless misapprehensions and worldly greed.

These are only a few of the beautiful things a person who thinks
will gain in the world. The gain in the hereafter of someone who
always finds the truth by thinking, is the love, approval, mercy and
the paradise of our Lord, which are above everything else.

Menentang Penjajahan - Peranan sastera remaja Islam

Menentang Penjajahan - Peranan sastera remaja Islam

Oleh Faisal Tehrani

Bahagian Akhir

Sasterawan Tentera - Posisi baru perjuangan penulis Islam

Sasterawan Tentera - Posisi baru perjuangan penulis Islam

Oleh FAISAL TEHRANI

(Bahagian Awal)

Sastera Islam seterusnya memiliki tugas menegakkan syiar Islam selain mempertahankan hak-hak ummah.

Persediaan pertama tentulah memahami Inna Lillah wa Inna Lillahi Rajiun.

Ketentuan Yang Bisa Diubah..??

salam,sekadar berkongsi..di sebalik kisah..

Suatu hari, tanggal 5 Ogos 2004, sewaktu saya masih menuntut di semester akhir pengajian saya..entah mengapa saya tiba-tiba teringat akan Kuliyah Tafsir anjuran Quranic Youth Club IIUM, yang lazim diadakan pada waktu petang jam 5:15, cuma bezanya harinya telah bertukar dari rabu ke khamis..kesibukan seawal bermula semester dengan bebanan assignment menyebabkan saya hampir-hampir melupakan kuliyah tersebut yang jarang-jarang sekali saya ketinggalan untuk menghadirinya..Sebetulnya saya cuma ada 15 minit sebelum kuliyah bermula kerana baru saja selesai tutorial kelas Evidence II,dan kerana tanpa perancangan, saya tiada membawa bersama tafsir quran saya..terus langkah dihayun ke surau Law,menunaikan solat Asar. Syukurlah ada tafsir quran untuk dipinjam kejap walaupun berbahasa Arab..sekurang-kurangnya saya punya rujukan.
Alhamdulillah, tepat masanya, saya agak belum terlambat, penyampai kuliyah belum sampai.
Surah pilihan untuk dikupas hari ni berdasarkan Tafsir Fi-Dzilal Al-Qur'an
Hadis Kesembilanbelas :Dari Abu Abbas, Abdullah bin Abbas r.a :

Jawapan spontan meluncur daripada mulut sedang wajah takut nak pandang ustaz..takut salah..'That's the point':kata Ustaz sambil mengangguk tanpa sempat saya menghabiskan kata. Em,tak sangka pula betul. Syukurlah.

My Struggle to be a Muslim and find Peace

From the "Islamic Voice" Vol 12-04 No:136 * APRIL '97
By a Sister who wishes to remain anonymous

I have been on the net for a year but this is the first time I am
posting something and I have chosen to do it anonymously for a
reason. My dear sisters, please don't hurt and offend each other.
Don't be rude to each other. This kind of attitude that has been
going on is enough to "chase" away new Muslimah.

I have been a Muslim for 2 1/2 years and don't have any friends. Al-
hamdulilah, the beginning of this Ramadan was a BIG blessing to me.
I am a convert of 2 1/2 years. All the way from first grade to 12th
grade I went to an all girls Catholic school. I am an only child to
my parents. Growing up, I had no friends because no friend
seemed "Catholic" enough. My dad and mum were my only friends
because according to me they were good Christians. My parents were
very STRICT...they both grew up as STRICT Christians. They would
drop me to school and then pick me up. My growing up years were
spent in school or the Church.
I loved Christianity but questioned so many things. The Summer I
graduated from high school (95), I started reading on Islam. I read
a lot of books on Islam. My parents were aware of what I was reading
because it was they who gave me rides or dropped and picked me up
from the library. After reading about 15 books on Islam in three
months, I started ordering video tapes on the internet. Talk of
Ahmed Deedat's lectures or debates.... I have seen them all.

Well, my parents were kind enough to give me money to order these
video tapes. They were even kind enough to sit down with me and
watch some of these tapes. As I mentioned above, I am their only
child and they did everything for me. "Mum, dad, give me some money
I need to buy this book...there was mummy or daddy giving me money.
Mum...dad.. can we spend the evening watching this video tape
instead of going out... Again there were mum and dad watching "Is
Jesus son of God?", "Is the Holy Qur'an the word of God?", Is the
Bible the word of God and so many others. All this time I knew deep
in my heart that Islam was the religion for me. My parents too knew
that Islam was the truth, although they did not want to admit it.

Things turned upside down in our three-bedroom house when one night
(two weeks before I was to start my first year in college) I told my
parents that I wanted to be a Muslim "legally." It was a shock to
both of them. My dad's first words were "you will be a Muslim...over
my dead body...do you think we raised you to be a Muslim, do you
think we wasted all this time on you so you could turn your back on
us and our religion.... Wow!! That night I saw a side of my parents
I had never seen. In my almost 18 year old mind I thought they were
watching and reading the books with me because they were interested
in Islam as a religion but not as an "entertainment."

Three days later I told my parents that I was going to take Shahadah
at the mosque. After surfing the internet and telephone directory, I
found one mosque and noted the address down. But how was I going get
there? Of course my parents are not going to drive me there. They
are already regretting why they even drove me to the library to get
the books in the first place, why they even gave me money to buy the
video tapes. I wanted to take Shahadah before college started, so I
could begin college with a "new" life. Now I only had a week left. I
called metro and asked them which bus would take me to the address I
had in hand.

I left the house for the first time on my own, going to the bus
stop. As soon as I got to the bus stop, my mother was behind me in
the car. We talked for two hours and no one convinced the other.
Finally she decided to drop me there on ONE condition, that is, I
will not tell my dad that she drove me there. I hugged my mother and
cried on her shoulders. I knew deep inside that no matter what I do
or say to my mother, she will always be there for me. After an hour
of silence in the car, we reached the mosque. She wanted to stay in
the car while I went in....after about 10 minutes my mother was in
the mosque and she witnessed me taking Shahadah.

After taking Shahadah, several sisters promised that they would
teach me how to pray, and blah...blah...blah. About 8 sisters asked
for my phone number. I was so happy and excited. Although I felt at
peace, I could not stop thinking about the conversation I overheard
at the Mosque, "this white woman converts to Islam because she wants
to get married to our Arab, and Pakistan brothers."

Months passed and none of the 8 sisters called me. In fact I never
saw them at the mosque again. After two months in college, I met a
sister on campus...she wasn't very friendly. She too promised that
she will call me but she never did. 2 weeks later I met her in the
library...I asked her if she knew of any mosques close by. Al-
hamdulilah, she was kind enough tospare 20 minutes of her time with
me. She told me that there were almost 5-6 mosques. She also told me
about the MSA on campus. I went to all the meetings and never missed
Friday prayer. One Friday I asked one sister if she could teach me
how to say the prayers correctly. She didn't have time that
particular day but promised to call me and let me know when she was
available. She never called me and I never saw her again. Again at a
Friday prayer I asked a different sister. This one did not ask for
my phone number but asked for my e-mail address. We exchanged e-mail
addresses. I wrote to her and she responded the same day telling me
that she is busy this quarter.... "Maybe next quarter." I cried to
myself that night.... why me? Why is no one being friendly to me?
What wrong have I done....I am only trying to find a sister to help
me learn how to pray and memorize some Surahs.

I went back to the masjid and one sister "offered" to help me. She
too did not have enough time but through her I was able to learn the
exact prayer words in Arabic and also memorized some Surahs.

Things became worse both at home with my parents and in my own life
in September 97 when I told my parents that I wanted to move and
live in the dorm. Even though my parents were not happy with my idea
of living in the dorm....they felt relieved in a way. Here I was a
20 year old woman living at home with my parents. Each morning my
mother has to drive me to college. Each evening my father has to
drive me home. The trip from home to school was an hour long. An
hour with my mother each morning and an hour with my father each
morning...what a waste of time. So I thought living in the dorms
will make things easy for me. After living in the dorm for a month
it was not easy. I missed my parents a lot. Well, that is life I
guess. One evening I saw an ad in the MSA office saying "Muslim
(female) wanted for a room mate and the rent is 350 per month." You
cannot imagine how happy I was!! I quickly called the number and the
sister who answered the phone asked me several questions. She
already knew who I was because I told her I am the convert at her
school . My dream of having a Muslimah roommate was "shattered"...I
was not good enough to be in her room. It is almost 4 months now and
the same ad is still out there. Honestly I was hurt and offended.
Why do we call ourselves sisters and yet we are discriminating? I
still don't know what kind of a sister she was/is looking for.
Honestly, I am ashamed of this one sister on this NET, we go to the
same school... I see her posting so many times and I ask myself....
does this sister really know that I exist on this net? What if she
knew, would she really care, would she really apologize to me for
what she has done to me and for how she had mistreated me when I
first met her on campus a year ago. What a shame!! Let's put in
action what we preach or what we post. I probably did something
wrong by telling this sister that she wasn't wearing her hijab
correctly. Yes, I still believe she was/is not wearing her hijab the
right way because it is half way through her head. Her hair shows on
the front and her pony tail sticks out. I know it was none of my
business to tell her, but I still think I did the right thing.
Others who paid attention to me did change their way of covering.

My dream of finding a Muslimah room mate still continued. The second
day of Ramadan I was at the masjid when a sister was posting an
ad "I am looking for a Muslim practising female roommate". I talked
to the sister who was posting the ad and she said that she prefers
an Arab roomate because they have so much in common. I said..."but
the ad says a Muslim female" and she responds..." it was a mistake
blah blah... "

I have been going to the above masjid for almost a year now since
the beginning of last Ramadan but never made any friends. It was the
same sisters who came to the masjid. No sister paid attention to me,
actually no one noticed my presence sin that masjid. I admired the
sisters talking together and reading Qur'an together, I longed to be
part of them but my presence was NEVER noticed. Al-hamdulilah I was
praying Jumaah at least.

The third day of Ramadan this year, I went to pray taraweeh again.
As usual I was in the same corner of the room with my English
translation of the Holy Qur'an. 20 minutes before the prayer began,
some 6 young sisters that I have NEVER met before came into the
masjid. All the eyebrows raised. These 6 sisters were asked several
questions, "where are you guys from? Do you speak Arabic? How come
we have never seen you before? Are you new in town, and blah
blah.... The other sisters did not answer any of the
questions..except for one who seemed to be the youngest of all (she
was probably 12 or 13). Anyway she answered "we are Muslims and have
come to pray here because this masjid is the closest to where we
live, now can we please pay attention to the what the Imam is
saying."

MashaAllah this 6 new sisters were very friendly to me. They were
sitting next to me in the back row when one of the sisters
said..."she likes sitting in the back because she can't read Arabic
and only knows 4-5 surahs. The 12-13 year old girl asked..."Have you
ever tried to teach her how to read Arabic? The other sister didn't
give the answer.

After the prayer that night the sister who was looking for a room
mate came to me and said.... "Sister, I hope you will find a
roommate soon, I am sorry I couldn't have you as my roommate. "The
prayer was over and everyone had left the masjid except for the 6
sisters and me. It was unbeliveable when the 6 sisters whom I had
met for the first time that night, asked me if I wanted to be their
roomate. My first question was," are you sure you want me as your
roommate? Do you all live together?" "Yes we all live together and
the 5 of us are sisters, and she is our cousin", they
responded. "What about your parents?" "They live with us, they will
not have any problems with you coming over", one of them replied. I
asked are, "you sure? Maybe you should go talk to your parents first
and then let me know by tomorrow, and by the way, how much is the
rent?" I asked. "Free", they responded, all together, we just want
you to come and live with as our sister in Islam, the four of us
have big rooms to ourselves, and the 2 of us share a room. If you
want we will let you have a room by yourself and two of us can
share. That was so sweet of her but Hmmm.... I was totally confused
with what these sisters were saying, here they were asking me to go
live with them for free, they have never met me before. They have
not consulted their parents. I decided to tell them that I was a
convert and cannot read Arabic..as if that would change their minds.
When I said I can not read Arabic, one of them said, "Al-hamdulilah,
we all can read Arabic we will teach you how to read."

The sisters could not let me go even though their dad was waiting
for them, in the parking lot. I decided to "wrap" up the
conversation and let them go. Seeing that they were not going to
leave me alone, I started telling them how I converted to Islam. I
told them that I was a lonely sister and hardly knew any one.

That same night they called from the masjid and made me talk to
their mother. She was so happy and she asked me to come over with
them. For the first time in my life as a Muslimah, I
felt "important", I realized that they were some Muslims who
recognized me as a human being. MashaAllah the mother was insisting
that I should come over with her daughters. For some reasons I did
not want to go to their house that night, so I started making some
excuses... Oh, I don't have any extra clothes with me, I don't have
an extra hijab. For every exuse I made, the sisters gave me an
answer. They were mashaAllah amazing sisters.

There I was within the house. After chatting with them for some
hours, I told them that I needed to hand wash my hijab for the next
day. "We have some new ones", said one of the sisters.... they all
went into their closets and grabbed whatever they had. 10 minutes
later, I was rich with 10 newhijabs, 4 jilbabs, 3 jalabiyas, 3
abayas and 1 niqab. For 2 1/2 years, I only had 3 hijabs....on this
particular night, I had 10 new ones. What a blessing!!!!! It was
around 12.30 A.m and none of us had gone to bed. We read Qur'an for
2-3 hours. Before we went to bed, one of them asked me if I was
aware of SISTERS NET. I told them that I have been subscribing to
sisnet for a year now but have never posted anything. The other one
said, "we are members of sisnet but are set to no mail at the moment
because of Ramadan." And what is your name?" I asked. "I am
Ni'maat", she responded. I can't describe the happiness I felt !!! I
hugged them again for the second time. Tears were rolling down my
cheeks. I was extremely happy. Happier than I have ever felt before.
Happy that I was meeting a sister from the net.

For two weeks now, I am living with Ni'maat's family. This is a
memory that will last for ever. MashaAllah! What a wonderful family
and was true Muslims they are! In two weeks I have memorized 4
surahs in Arabic. I think this is a very big improvement on my part.
In 2 1/2 years I had memorized ONLY 4-5 surah. In only 2 weeks in
this house, I have memorized 4 more surahs. Al-hamdulilah.

I have no idea why I am telling you this but... I want you sisters
to know that having `sabr' is a very important thing. Be patient and
Allah will reward you in ways you have never imagined. Personally, I
have lost a big friend (my dad) but Islam is what I want, this have
gained. My mother is not having a hard time with me as a Muslim.
With years going by, she has learned to respect me and love me more.
InshaAllah she too will take Shahadah one day. I called her two
weeks ago and told her that I am now living with a Muslim family.
All she said was "May God bless your new family, they sound like
wonderful people."

I know by converting to Islam, I have hurt her. But she will remain
a dear mother to me. I will still be her "honey" She will still be
my mother who fought infertility for two years before she had me. A
mother who was not able to have any more children after me. I am
sure she did not lose me as my father puts it. My mother's heart
is "half" way open to Islam but she is scared of my dad. InshaAllah
she will be guided by Allah. I am planning to invite her over to
this house next month when my father leaves for Australia for two
weeks. Please pray that she will accept my invitation. I want her to
see this family which is a very good example of a Muslim family.

I want her to see and know that Muslims are not people to be feared.
I want her to "trash" her image and sterotype of what Muslim people
are. Please, sisters, remember me and my parents in your prayers.
SISTERS PLEASE INVITE PEOPLE OVER TO YOUR HOUSES IF YOU HAVE A
CHANCE. LOVE ALL PEOPLE THE SAME. Don't be rude and disrespectful.
We are all sisters in Islam.

A beautiful advice to the people of this world

Alluring to people is the love of women and sons, and mountains of gold and silver and fine horses and cattle and land. These are the glamours of the life of this world. The hereafter is best in ALLAH's sight. Should I tell you about something which is better than these things? For those who believe and do right, there will be for them gardens of paradise, beneath which rivers will flow. I give you the good news of being there.

ALLAH has made a trade with the believers that in return for their wealth and their own selves, He will give them a home in His paradise, gardens of happiness beneath which rivers flow, to stay in there forever. A repayment from their Lord, for their good deeds. They will have therein pure friends, and ALLAH will make them enter cool shades. The promise of ALLAH is true, and whose word can be truer than ALLAH's?

Whoever does good deeds whether male or female and is a believer -- they will enter a garden whose width is the width of the sky and the earth. An excellent reward for the doers of right. ALLAH will be pleased with them and they will be pleased with ALLAH. ALLAH will remove whatever of ill-feeling that is in their hearts, and they will be as brethren, facing each other. They will say: O ALLAH! All Glory and thanks be to You, for guiding us to this. We would not have found the way had it not been that You had guided us. It will be said to them: This is the garden of which you are made heirs in return for what you did. Enter there in peace and comfort. Their greetings in it will be: Peace; and they will say: Praise be to ALLAH, the LORD OF THE WORLDS. They will enter there along with those who did good from their parents, spouses and children. The angels will come to them from every gate. They will stay in there by their Lord's permission. They will be wearing bracelets of gold and pearls, and their clothes therein will be of silk. I give you the good news of entering there.

It has been reported by Abu Sa'id, AbdALLAH, and Omar b. Muhammad (May ALLAH be pleased with them) that ALLAH's Messenger ( May peace and blessings be upon him ) had said: On the day of resurrection death would be brought in the form of a white colored ram, and placed between hell and heaven. Then it would be slaughtered, and it would be said : O people of paradise, no death for you. O people of hell, no death for you. (The people would stay in their dwelling places forever). This would increase the delight of the people of paradise, and increase the grief of the people of hell. ( Muslim - May ALLAH have mercy on him).

The people of paradise will stay in there forever. A never ending gift from THE MOST MERCIFUL. They will have pure mates in there, and they will not be dealt unjustly in any way. They won't have any fear nor will they be sad. In these gardens would be all that the eyes could delight in, and more than all they could wish for. ALLAH will say: This is the day when the truth will benefit the truthful. Peace be on you because you were patient. Enter in peace and security. O soul, be in rest and satisfaction. Welcome to your Lord. Well pleased I am with you. Enter amongst my servants. Yes, enter My heaven.

They will have gardens with rivers flowing underneath. No harm will afflict them, nor will they ever be expelled from it. That is the great success. They will wear green robes made of fine silk interwoven with gold, lying on raised thrones encrusted with jewels. An excellent repayment. They will stay there and they will not want to be removed from it. They won't hear any ill talking in there, but only: "Peace". They will have their food therein morning and evening. A good repayment from THE MOST EXCELLENT OF CREATORS. Again I give you the good news that you will enter there. Therein you will have giant Mansions, bubbling fountains, Comfortable cushions, Cups and dishes of gold, fruits, any that you may select from, meat, drink, green cushions and rich carpets of beauty, Joy, peace, ease, satisfaction, and anything else that you may ask for. No soul knows what delights of the eye ALLAH has prepared for His servants. ALLAH is truly The Forgiving and The Merciful.

But whoever rejects ALLAH and His Messenger, ALLAH will cause them to enter a fire whose fuel is men and stones, to stay in it. They will have a humiliating punishment in it. As often as their skins are burned, ALLAH will replace them for new skins, so that they may feel the punishment. They will be linked together in chains and shackles and their shirts will be made of pitch, and fire will cover their faces. Their clothes will be made of fire, and boiling water will be poured over their heads. They will be whipped with whips made of iron. Whenever they would desire to get away from it, from suffering, they will be thrown back into it, "Feel the punishment of burning," then in the fire they will be burned. Death will approach them from everywhere, but they will not die. They will be made to drink from a boiling spring. When they will enter Hell, they will hear the sucking in of its breath as it burns, bursting with anger. A bottomless pit that does not leave the person alone.

Those who swallow the property of the orphans unjustly, they only swallow fire into their bellies and they will enter the burning fire.

There are amongst people that say: There is nothing but our life of this world, and we shall not be raised up. If you could only see when they are made to stand before their Lord. He will say: Isn't this the truth? They will say: Yes! By our Lord. He will say: Taste then the punishment because you rejected! They are the losers indeed. Can't they see that ALLAH will produce a new creation just like He produced the previous one?

O my dear brothers and sisters! Keep up regular prayers and spend in charity out of what ALLAH has given to you, secretly and openly, before there comes to you a day in which there will be no bartering nor mutual befriending. This world's life is only a game. Boastings and braggings and competings. The hereafter, that is the real life.

Something About Islam

Something About Islam
___________________________________________________________________________________
Q: Who is Allah, and is He the same as God?
A: When talking about God, Muslims automatically think of Allah (swt). Allah, in arabic language, is "The God". He is the Almighty, the One Creator who created the universe, mankind and all other forms of life.

Q: Is it true that Adam was the first messenger of God (swt)?
A: Yes, Adam had the responsibility to convey God's message and laws to his descendants. From the beginning, Adam's message to the first generation of mankind was to worship the One True God, Allah (swt).

Q: Who is Satan and what is his name in arabic?
A: Satan belongs to another form of life "jinnkind" or spirits. His name in arabic is Iblis and he goes by another name "Shaytan" (Devil).

Q: Why does Satan despise humans and desire their destruction?
A: When God (swt) created Adam, God wanted to give Adam some sort of respect, value and position among the other creations. God (swt) commanded the Angels, including Satan from the Jinn, to prostrate to Adam as a sign of respect and not as a sign of worship. All prostrated to Adam but Satan. Satan was a mighty & distinguished Jinn. God (swt) asked him what made you not prostrate to Adam and disobey my commandment? Satan replied, I am better than Adam, you created him from clay and created me from fire. God (swt) cursed Satan. Satan vowed to destroy Adam and his descendants forever.

Q: I am still confused, I thought Satan was an angel like Gabriel and he has no free will but to worship God?

A: False. If Satan was an angel, then we wouldn't have any problems with him at all. Angels are a special creation of God (swt). God (swt) created Angels from divine light (Nur). Angles don't have free will in doing things but to worship God (swt) and obey his commandments. Satan, on the other hand, is a Jinn "spirit", and like humans, Satan and his race "jinnkind" have free will in their actions; free will of doing good and free will of doing bad. Ref. QURAN (18:50)

Q: Why did God (swt) send messengers, and why not instead communicate with us directly?
A: First, that is God's (swt) will. Second, and because of God's greatness and might, humans, in their earthly bodies, can't withstand God's direct presence. We would die instantly if God (swt) would to manifest Himself to us. Only from the mercy of God (swt) prophet Moses (as) fell unconscious when God (swt) began manifesting him self near the mount. The mount itself exploded to pieces. God's messengers are nothing but human beings, who ate like us, dressed like us, grew up amongst us, spoke our language in order for mankind to comprehend what they utter. God (swt) equipped His messengers with miracles to prove the authenticity of their message.

Q: What is Islam, and what does the word "Islam" mean?

A: Islam is God's eternal message to mankind. Islam originated by our father Adam (as) and then the torch was passed on to other God's elect messengers. Islam's message was, still and will be the belief in and submission to ONE God (swt), the Creator and the Sustainer of all things, the Exalted and the Redeemer of all things. The word Islam itself means "submission and surrendering" to God (swt).

Q: What is the deal with the term(s) "Mohammadeen", "Muhammedanism" or Mohammedans in Islam?
A: There are no such terms at all. Other religions have been named after their founders or after the community in which the religion was prospered. For example, Christianity has been named after Christ. Judaism after the tribe of Judah, and Buddhism after Buddha. Westerners falsely gave the name "Muhammedanism" or Mohammadeen" to Islam after Mohammad (pbuh) the prophet of Islam, and also called his followers "Mohammedans". Islam and Muslims are the words of the QURAN (27:31), (3:19) & (22:78). Again, Islam is God's eternal message to mankind that originated by Adam (as) and sealed by prophet Mohammad (pbuh).

Q: I heard something about the 5 pillars of Islam and the 5 pillars of faith. Could you elaborate more on these pillars?
A: You are right! Islam has two different types of pillars: The pillars of Islam and the pillars of faith in Islam. The 5 pillars of Islam are: "Al-Shahadatan" the testimony that there is no God but Allah and Mohammad is Messenger of Allah, performing prayer (Salah), giving Alms (Zakah), fasting (Sawm), and performing Pilgrimage (Hajj) for those who are able.
The 5 pillars of Faith in Islam are: The belief in One God, Allah (swt), the belief in His Angels, the belief in His Scriptures, the belief in His Messengers, and the belief in Judgment Day.

Q: Who is Mohammad?
A: Mohammad (pbuh) was born in Mecca 570 AD. At age forty he was elected by God (swt) to convey His Message to mankind. The Message is to worship only One God, Allah (swt). Mohammad (pbuh) spent the last 23 years of his life conveying God's Message to all people. Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) died at age 63 and his resting place lies in the city of Medina in Saudi Arabia. He is God's final Messenger to mankind. Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) came to re-institute Islam, the religion of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus (as). The following prophecy is obtained from the Bible regarding Mohammad's cometh from Arabia. In HABAKKUK 3:3 " God (Jesus) came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise." The place of Teman is the area located southeast of Palestine, and Paran is the area of Mecca in Saudi Arabia where the Holy One (Mohammad pbuh) came from.

Q: Are you telling me both Moses and Jesus were Muslims? If so, prove it and I would like to see something from the Bible in this regard?
A: Both Moses and Jesus (as) were Muslims, since both had conveyed the very same Message, "Submission and surrendering" to One God (swt). Here is the proof from the Bible: Moses said: "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is ONE Lord." (DEUTERONOMY 6:4). Approximately 1500 years later Jesus said: "...The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is ONE Lord." (MARK 12:29), and of course Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) came along approximately 600 years later, bringing identical message again: "And your God is ONE God: There is no God but He" (The QURAN 2:163)

Q: Are you telling me, all other religions are bogus and Islam is the only true religion?
A: Well, isn't that the case with all religions! Every religion claims that he is right and others are wrong. Islam is the belief in One God, Allah (swt), the Creator of all things. Islam doesn't believe in the "middleman" fallacy as the case with many religions including Christianity. In Christianity, to be saved you have to believe in Jesus (as) as the Son of God, and without such confession and belief in Jesus, you're most definitely going to Hellfire. Islam, on the other hand, declares that believing in One God, Allah (swt) and that Mohammad is His messenger, and obeying God's laws and His prophet's doctrine is the only passport to Heaven.

Q: Is it really sensible that God will reward Heaven only to Muslims and punish others that can easily add up to millions or even billions of people of various religions?
A: Yes it is very sensible. If you read both the Bible and the Quran you will uncover that God (swt) severely punished the unbelievers and the wicked people through out the history of mankind. That includes the people of Prophet Noah (as), the people of Prophet Abraham (as), Lot, Moses (as), etc... Numbers don't mean a thing in the eyes of God (swt) and that shouldn't be considered as an exception at all. Only faith counts and not numbers.

Q: But what about people in our time! We don't know anything about Islam and Mohammad! Would that be considered against us on Judgment Day?
A: Yes it will be considered against you. Before the cometh of prophet Mohammad (pbuh), God (swt) vowed not to punish people or hold them responsible without sending messengers. Unlike Moses & Jesus (as), prophet Mohammad (pbuh) was very distinct since he was sent to all mankind with God's final message to humanity and before Judgment Day. Everybody, the least, heard of Mohammad's name. We live in the information age, and within our fingertips, using computers or TVs, we can learn just about anything including religions. The Prophet (pbuh) told us that everyone of us is born a submitter " Muslim" to the One God, the Almighty Allah (swt), but many factors have tendency to force a person to deviate from the right path such as: Satan's influence, Parents, Society, etc.

Q: How many prophets and messengers did God send to mankind?
A: Our prophet (pbuh) told us approximately 124 Thousand prophets and messengers were sent to mankind. The Quran lists 25 of the most popular ones. They are: Adam, Enoch (Idris), Noah, Hud, Salih, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Lot, Jacob (Yaqub), Joseph (Yusuf), Shu'aib, Job (Ayyob), Moses (Musa), Aaron (Haroon), Ezekiel (Dhul-Kifl), David (Dawood), Solomon (Sulaiman), Elias, Elisha (El-Yasa), Jonah (Yunus), Zechariah, John (Yahya), Jesus, and Mohammad, peace be upon them.

Q: Why can't Muslims accept the term "Son of God", even though it is in the Bible and referring to Jesus?

A: The term "Son of God" was used metaphorically speaking to those who were godly and pious men. It was never meant to be used literally as the case with Christianity toward Jesus (as). In fact, the term "Son of God" is used all over the Bible referring to people other than Jesus, check out the following verses: LUKE 3:38 " the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.", GENESIS 6:2 " that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose.", EXODUS 4:22 " Then you shall say to Pharaoh, Thus says the LORD, Israel is My son, My firstborn." , JEREMIAH 31:9 "…For I am a father to Israel, And Ephraim is My firstborn.", ROMANS 8:14 "For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.". So how come Christians don't regard those people as Gods, the way they regard Jesus (as)?

Q: Why Muslims don't eat Swine (Pork) meat?
A: For the same reason both Moses & Jesus (as) refused to eat it. God (swt) commanded Muslims not to eat Swine meet. God (swt) also commanded Moses not to eat or even touch the Swine meat as in the following verses in the Bible: LEVITICUS 11:7-8 "and the pig, for though it divides the hoof, thus making a split hoof, it does not chew cud, it is unclean to you. You shall not eat of their flesh nor touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you."

Q: I am spiritually confused! What should I do?

A: You owe it to yourself to search for the truth, and I am sure if you have an honest intention searching for the truth, God (swt) will aid you in your endeavor. Read more about Islam and weigh your options. Read more about the early revelations & messengers of God (swt) and comprehend their law & guidance that they had conveyed to their people at that time, then compare all present religions and see which one coincide with the early revelations.

Q: But I am satisfied with my own belief, so why should I pursue other religion in the first place?

A: Remember, mankind has a free will to do whatever he desires, and we are all held accountable for what we do. If you are content with your religion, then you are solely responsible for your actions & belief and no one else.
Q: How do I become a Muslim?
A: Unlike other religions, Islam doesn't have certain rituals or baptism by religious groups or individuals. All you need to do is to declare the Testimony (Shahadatan). The Testimony is: "I testify that there is no God but Allah, and Mohammad is the Messenger of Allah". Once you establish this pure belief in your heart, then you can proceed unto the rest of the pillars of Islam. Many Islamic foundations and mosques will be able to help you getting started learning about Islam..

Q: I noticed various Islamic Sects! Could you list them for me?
A: About 84 % of Muslims are Sunni. The word Sunni is based on the word Sunnah which is an Arabic word means the Prophet's tradition. Sunnis believe in Allah (swt) as the One Creator and Mohammad is His last and final Messenger. Also, Sunnis believe in the Quran and Sunnah as the two main sources of Islam. There are, however, Muslim bunches who deviated from the right path of Islam such as: Shia, Baha'i, Sufi, Ahmadiya, etc. So be cautious in knowing whom you are dealing with.
Q: Why do Muslims pray so much, you know, 5 times a day! Isn't belief in Allah enough?
A: Besides the fact it's a Commandment from the Almighty (swt), the prayer (Salah) is considered to be a continuous and daily discipline for Muslims. It's true we have the belief in One God (swt) and His messenger Mohammad (pbuh) embedded in our hearts, but like earlier Muslims, God (swt) has proscribed Laws and Commandments for us to observe and adhere to. When we pray, we recite the Quran that has God's genuine words and directions. We also offer supplications and blessings to God (swt). The line of communication between Muslims and God (swt) never slows down ever. The prayer (Salah) itself is considered a supplication to the Almighty (swt). It is how we make our connection to God and remember him everyday. It is how we ground ourselves while at the same time elevating ourselves spiritually..

It's Ok to Cry

..baru sebentar tadi...diriku menatap makalah kecil yang cukup bermakna buatku..baru setika usia perkenalan kami..namun sudah cukup kuat untuk mengikat nurani ku..
..sketsa yang berkata.."It's Ok to Cry"..cukup menuntun perasaan..
why not?..it's ok to cry.."Menangislah, kau bukan orang yang lemah kalau kau menangis"..begitulah kata-kata azimat yang terpacul dari bibir mungil sang watak...
tinggalkan..kerana lemahnya iman ku, kerana kegagalanku membahagi
komitmen..ampunkan diriku wahai Tuhan Perkasa Alam..aku terlalu takut
bibir mataku..menangisi segalanya..termasuk segala pengorbananku demi meraih nilai kejayaan..walau hati tiada meredhai, walau jiwa menderita..walau iman
mengesali.."It's Ok to Cry"..jika ia merintis jalan tarbiyah..nilai penyesalan

Nak menangislah. Tapi tengok anak-anak Palestin dibedil oleh Israel dia orang takmenangis pula. Hairan sungguh".
Durra bukanlah nak bincangkan pasal program tu kat sini.

Darah ummat sering tumpah!
Biarkan ia kering!
Kita jauh kat sini. Nak pergi berjuang kat sana?
Kirim salam lah, pistol pun aku tak pernah tengok yang real punya.
Biar aje..Allah Taala kan dah janji..satu hari nanti Baitul Maqdis akan terbebas.
Masjid Al-Aqsa kan jadi milik umat Islam juga..
Tapi nantilah..nanti bila janji Allah dah tiba..diorang kena sabar..
Kita tak payahlah buat apa-apa pun.
Kita tak minum Coca-cola pun takkan mampu menyebabkan Yahudi sampai tak cukup duit nak beli peluru berpandu..berapa sen sangat kan.
Allah Taala dah kasi kita nikmat keamanan..
yang orang lain tak mampu kecapi..
hidup bebas ke mana saja..
berhibur dan bergembiralah sementara kita masih mampu
hargai nikmat Tuhan..
ummat kita kat sana..
biarkan mereka dengan nasib mereka
menangis pun tak mampu mengubah apa-apa!
Si Sharon gempal tu, kita pun dia tak kenal..
apa kejadah faedahnya utk kita pergi demonstrasi kat pinggir-pinggir jalan
laung sana ...pekik sini.
jadi Mat Rempit lagi bagus
Aku dah cukup sedih
turut sama BERMURAM DURJA!
kerana satu sandiwara..

  BEBASKAN...BEBASKAN..
  BEBASKAN UMMAT..

  Inilah realiti TV Kehidupan kita...
  yang harus dikongsi rasa
Apa tindakan kita..?masih sibuk membahas teori?

Ever Wonder Why?

EVER WONDER WHY?
Jew Why a Jew can grow his beard in order to practice his faith
But when Muslim does the same, he is an extremist and terrorist! Muslim
Nun Why a nun can be covered from head to toe in order to devote herself to God
But when Muslimah does the same she oppressed Hijab
Western Women When a western women stays at home to look after her house and kids she is respected because of sacrificing herself and doing good for the household?
But when a Muslim woman does so by her will, they say, "she needs to be liberated"! Muslim Women
Anything Any girl can go to university wearing what she wills and have her rights and freedom?
But when Muslimah wears a Hijab they prevent her from entering her university! Hijab
Subject When a child dedicates himself to a subject he has potential.
But when he dedicates himself to Islam he is hopeless! Islam
Question When a Christian or a Jew kills someone religion is not mentioned, but when Muslim is charged with a crime, it is Islam that goes to trial! Question
Hero When someone sacrfices himself to keep others alive, he is noble and all respect him.
But when a Palestinian does that to save his son from being killed, his brother's arm being broken, his mother being raped, his home being destroyed, and his mosque being violated -- He gets the title of a terrorist! Why? Because he is a Muslim! Terrorist
Question When there is a trouble we accept any solution? If the solution lies in Islam, we refuse to take a look at it. Question
Car When someone drives a perfect car in a bad way no one blames the car.
But when any Muslim makes a mistake or treats people in a bad manner - people say "Islam is the reason"! Islam
Newspapers Without looking to the tradition of Islam, people believe what the newspapers say.
But question what the Quran says! Quran

"Selamat tinggal wahai dunia duka
dan selamat datang wahai dunia iman,
Burung yang patah sayapnya
Takkan mati kerana lukanya
Wahai hatiku yang sedih perangainya
Sungguh kesedihan itu telah meninggalkan diriku
Kan terbang aku ke dunia cinta
Kerana aku muslim
yang membumbung dengan iman
Gelarku adalah muslim dan itu cukup bagiku
Aku termasuk ke dalam tentera keimanan
Al-Qur'an adalah cahaya dan sinar
Islam adalah kecintaan dan kerinduanku
Dekaplah wahai dunia kesucian
Sehingga sentuhan kasihmu menemui perasaanku
Temanku adalah keberseihan dan kesucian
Pahlawan tentera Ar-Rahman
Di bawah naungan agama aku hidup
Untuk menebus keislamanku yang nyaris sirna
Sehingga aku menjadi khalifah di dunia
Dan mengibarkan tinggi-tinggi panji Al-Qur'an

"Sampaikan dariku walau sepatah ayat.."

If ever things begin to look a little cloudy...they'll get better soon.
Just remember that it's true:it takes rain to make rainbows, lemons to make lemonade, and sometimes it takes difficulties to make us stronger and better people.
